Property Taxes
Taxes are due 2/14/2025 to pay without penalty. Payments received after 2/14/2025 will be charged a 1% interest per month. To make payments online go to BigPrairieTownship.org. A secure drop box is located at the township hall.

Thursdays: 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

As of 3/1/2025 all unpaid taxes are payable with additional interest to the Newaygo County Treasurers Office 1087 E Newell Street, P.O Box 885, White Cloud MI, 49349. As of 3/1/2025 call 231-689-7230 for updated payoff.

DELINQUENT TAX PAYMENTS​

Late 2023 Winter Taxes and payments for prior years must be paid through the Newaygo County Treasurer, reachable at 231-689-7230. Before visiting, please call the Newaygo County Treasurer for an updated amount owing, including interest before paying your tax bill. To pay in person, please visit the county building at 1087 Newell St., White Cloud, MI 49349.

There is a tax payment drop box for after-hours payments at the Township Hall.
Do not use drop box when paying with cash.

For a receipt mailed back, please include a SASE with your payment. Alternatively, we can email or fax receipts as well if requested.

The Township accepts tax payments using your credit card, debit card, or electronic check! Paying your property taxes is quick, and secure and is as simple as paying your other bills online!

1. Click on the 'Pay Taxes Online' button below. You will be directed to our partner's secure website AccessmyGov.com.

Please note: There is a convenience fee to pay online. 3% with a $2.00 minimum to use a debit/credit card and $3.00 fee up to $10,000.00 and $10 over $10,000 for eChecks.
2. Search for your parcel by your last name and then select your parcel from the list displayed.

3. Make payment due under the Pay Taxes on this Parcel section found near the end of the record. Verify the Amount Due and the Amount Paying amounts then click the Pay Taxes button. You will be directed to Point & Pay's secure online site for payment processing.

Permits are issued for limbs, brush, stumps, evergreen needles, leaves, and grass clippings only. It is NOT legal to burn demolition debris, construction materials, or automotive parts.
